Purpose

This module allows to define a SoOffsetAction, which is a type of interaction for the Managed Interaction scheme. Offset actions accumulate a numeric offset in one or two directions and can be bound to mouse wheel rotation, keyboard shortcuts, and mouse button dragging, each with an individual sensitivity (see SoInteractionMapping).

Usage

The output values of this module are the Value and Value fields, which are modified by the offset action. Usually one will connect one or both of these fields to other fields or attach a field listener to them. The allowed range for these values can be restricted if desired.

Status Message

name: statusMessage, type: String

The status message to display when this action is bound to a mouse button.

Value (offsetX)

name: offsetX, type: Double, persistent: no

The accumulated offset value in horizontal direction. The normal mouse wheel usually maps to the vertical direction.

Value (offsetY)

name: offsetY, type: Double, persistent: no

The accumulated offset value in vertical direction. The normal mouse wheel usually maps to the vertical direction.

Sensitivity (sensitivityX)

name: sensitivityX, type: Double, default: 1

The base sensitivity for the horizontal offset value. This is the value by which the offset is changed for one step of the mouse wheel. Note that mappings applied with SoInteractionMapping can have their own sensitivity which is multiplied with this value.

Sensitivity (sensitivityY)

name: sensitivityY, type: Double, default: 1

The base sensitivity for the vertical offset value. This is the value by which the offset is changed for one step of the mouse wheel. Note that mappings applied with SoInteractionMapping can have their own sensitivity which is multiplied with this value.

Min (minX)

name: minX, type: Double, default: 0

The minimum value of the horizontal value if Clamp To Min X is set.

Max (maxX)

name: maxX, type: Double, default: 1

The maximum value of the horizontal value if Clamp To Max X is set.

Min (minY)

name: minY, type: Double, default: 0

The minimum value of the vertical value if Clamp To Min Y is set.

Max (maxY)

name: maxY, type: Double, default: 1

The maximum value of the vertical value if Clamp To Max Y is set.

Clamp To Min X

name: clampToMinX, type: Bool, default: FALSE

Whether to enforce the Min value.

Clamp To Max X

name: clampToMaxX, type: Bool, default: FALSE

Whether to enforce the Max value.

Clamp To Min Y

name: clampToMinY, type: Bool, default: FALSE

Whether to enforce the Min value.

Clamp To Max Y

name: clampToMaxY, type: Bool, default: FALSE

Whether to enforce the Max value.

Hidden Fields

scaleOffsetsWithMinMaxValues

name: scaleOffsetsWithMinMaxValues, type: Bool, default: FALSE

When this flag is set, any change to the min or max fields will scale the corresponding offset field so that the value is the same relative to the min/max range.

So if min is 0 and max is 1 and offset is 0.5, and you change max to 10, the offset will be 5.
