5.7. Creating Multi-Project Xcode Workspaces using ToolRunner

Starting with MeVisLab 3.0, the ToolRunner application may be used to setup Xcode workspaces. Select all projects you wish to be contained in a workspace in ToolRunner and open the context menu by Control-clicking a list item and choosing Create Xcode Workspace (Figure 5.4, “Generating a Debug or Release Xcode Workspace for selected projects”). The workspace will include a scheme to build all projects, and for the Debug workspace will also include all required settings for debugging in MeVisLab. In addition to the workspace, a shell script with the file extension .command is written to facilitate regeneration of all Xcode projects from the Finder.

[Important]Important

Prior to offering the creation of a workspace, ToolRunner will check the existence of a corresponding Xcode project for every selected .pro file. Missing Xcode projects are indicated in the context menu entry and the item itself will be disabled. To (re-)generate Debug and Release Xcode projects for one or all .pro files, select Run from the context menu.
